1. Job Role & responsibility for Technical Support Manager

A seasoned, strategically astute Manager with previous experience running a Technical Support organization.

Strong troubleshooting skills

Prior experience working in a multinational company across timezones, managing both vendor and employee blended teams

Technically skilled with the ability to understand complex technical issues and participate in discussions with core engineering teams

Strong knowledge, preferably hands-on experience with major relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle / Cassandra)

Strong knowledge, preferably hands-on experience of Java, J2EE, Spring or other MVC frameworks, Service Oriented Architectures, and RESTFUL services

Understanding or experience using AWS Cloud, preferably certified. Whilst AWS cloud technologies are preferred, other cloud experiences would be considered

Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to Business Partners and Leadership.

Prior experience supporting large-scale eCommerce environments is also a plus.

Quick learner and willing to challenge the status quo while consistently striving for improvement within themselves and the team

Description

– Responsible for the Support of engineering teams and their deliverables

– Maintain and develop the Support engineering processes and practices

 – Provide technical assistance and direction to the Support engineering teams

– Actively involved in Support engineering

– Collaborate with Level 3 engineering teams around the globe on Support solutions

 – Gain a deep understanding of the eCommerce platform

– Interact with stakeholders at different levels of the organization

– Communicate clearly and directly with members of the global L1 teams

 – Provide in-region administration oversight to the local online and retail teams

 – The role may require some travel within the region and/or globally
