Moody Hiring Role/Responsibilities

This role will report to the SVP Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and will support the program development, operationalization and implementation of the MCO TPRM Program, specifically focused on the data, reporting and process needs of the program.
The Risk Analyst will support the SVP, TPRM and other team members in the creation, maintenance, documentation and reporting of third party-related risk data, risk reports and related projects across a variety of risk domains and internal operational functions.

• Drive the creation, gathering, maintenance and validation of all third party risk-related data across all TPRM risk domains and internal operational processes.
• Ensure the incoming risk data is reviewed for quality, accuracy & completeness before releasing it into the TPRM reporting system.
• Engage with internal business stakeholders, risk SMEs, operational process and platform owners to ensure data feeds are being monitored, maintained and assessed for improvement opportunities.
• Provides regular written and/or verbal updates on project progress to team and management.
Data Quality
• Create data quality procedures to review incoming data for quality, accuracy and completeness
• Execute the data quality procedures on the same frequency as the incoming data sources
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, data quality improvement, reduction of data latency and data enhancement / additional data sources.
• Identifies, communicates and resolves any data-related issues, problems, gaps or errors.
• Track the data quality, engage data owners to ensure quality is being maintained and track opportunities to completion.
Data Validation
• Some of the internal data created and used for risk management will need to be validated ongoing, this role will administer the data validation process and activities related to updating the data and/or enuring it gets passed along to the data owner for update into their system.
• Creation and execution of data validation procedures
• On a regular frequency, this team will produce risk reporting that will be distributed to risk managers, leaders and LOB executive across the company. This role will assist in the data gathering, report creation, report validation and the generation of reporting insights passed along to our internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate internally and externally in a professional, clear and concise manner
  • Actively participates and listens in internal/external meetings. Clearly captures and summarizes discussion items from the meetings
  • Manages multiple tasks, prioritizing time and communicating potential conflicts to supervisor.
  • Collaborates with the project team in developing meaningful recommendations for the TPRM projects
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and understand the risks and data associated with the risk domain under review.
  • Demonstrates understanding of roles and responsibilities on each TPRM project.
  • Understands assignment instructions and applies them as directed; seeks clarity and guidance.
  • Executes complex data quality/integration steps and delivers a quality work product, free of errors and on time.
  • Approaches interactions with risk stakeholders in an organized manner and delivers clear requests for information
  • Proactively updates the project status, data quality findings and challenges to the lead auditor/TPRM project sponsor.
  • Capable of performing basic data analytics functions and visualizations within Excel or equivalent applications (e.g. Access, Tableau, ACL)
  • Leverages our data analytics library for audits
  • Engages in continual learning to further develop expertise
  • Takes accountability for results delivered for their assigned work.
  • Supports team members in meeting the project objectives
  • Assists new hires or less-experienced staff by answering questions and providing direction on how to complete assignments.

Moody Hiring Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of experience ideally in a Big 4 Accounting firm, Risk Management function, and/or a global organization
  • Proficiency in financial systems and the Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Basic knowledge of risk management principles, internal controls, and risk standards pertaining to Third Party risk-related data and reporting requirements and related technology
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • An ideal candidate should be innovative, result oriented and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion, leadership, team management, project management and critical thinking skills.
