Mastercard Hiring Overview

• Develops new and modifies existing networks in support of application services
• Advises the business on priorities for network design and implementation
• Manages network infrastructure to ensure security, availability, recoverability, performance, integrity, and supportability
• Works with Cloud Services like AWS to provide automation of networks

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports network infrastructures to maximize performance and resolve moderate problems, escalating complex issues as they arise
• Builds and maintains networks for production and pre-production environments; assists in the development of requirements for upgrading existing Mastercard networks
• Evaluates current networks and applications to formulate recommendations for potential infrastructure design improvements
• Monitors Mastercard’s network security to ensure the resilience of operational platforms for hosted production systems
• Resolves problems of moderate scopes as they arise, escalating complex issues where analysis of the situation requires in-depth evaluation and judgement
• Automates network configuration using infrastructure as code concepts and pipelines.

Experiences

• Gains experience implementing technology initiatives to suggest recommendations to improve network processes and security for own area of responsibility
• Experience participating in an assigned global technology domain or sub-domain (e.g., providing inputs around specific technologies)
• Participates in business resource groups and global technical communities (e.g., Tech Leadership Network)

All About You

• Intermediate experience with networking concepts like routing, NAT, switches, firewalls, and virtualization
• Have some experience with AWS or Cloud services
• Able to learn new technologies and keep up to date with industry standards
• Have basic concepts of code repositories and pipelines for running automation
• Have basic experience with scripting
