Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Customer Engineer at FTA, you will primarily be working with customers in providing thoughtful guidance & sharing best practices to ensure reliable, scalable, secured, and cost-optimized deployment of their Infrastructure & Applications on Microsoft Azure. Some of the key responsibilities will include: 

Directly engage with customers and partners to validate & accelerate new Azure and existing Solutions for Azure migration & modernization; partner with other Customer Engineers to provide end-to-end guidance.

Accelerate the customers’ project. Provide knowledge and insight to build the customers’ confidence and drive customer resilience. 

Drive product improvement by capturing product-related feedback that can be triaged by the relevant Product teams. 

Contribute to documentation through sample scripts, blogs, and architecture best practices.

Partner with FTA Program Managers in helping them scope pre-qualified complex projects.

Qualifications

Track record of constant learning 

Technical Experience 

An understanding of Azure fundamentals, such as Governance, Networking, Security, Monitoring, Resiliency, Business Continuity, and Management

Cloud solution architecture skills; Experience working on designing and deploying solutions on public clouds.

Experience with and ability to lead customers with two or more of the following: 

Azure DC Migration

Azure Virtual Desktop

Azure VMware Solution

Azure Landing Zone or Cloud Landing Zone

Good to have but not mandatory – Experience working on hybrid and multi-cloud solutions such as Azure Stack HCI, Azure Arc, and Control Plane and/or on other public clouds.

Customer Facing Experience 

Effectively driving recommendations and land priorities across customers, partners, and senior executives across organizational boundaries

Leading projects, consulting, and/or delivery experience

Leading customer-focused technical conversations by collaborating with relevant experts within FastTrack for Azure and across other engineering teams.

Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations; lead projects, and to motivate others.
